If you keep your phosphorous low and use this little guy in the skimmer, it is possible to run the chlorine quite low-low enough that the typical Cl odor is not detectable. Especially useful if you like your pooltherapeutic warm (for arthritis). Warm pools burn off chlorine rapidly thus more prone to have algae problems. Not an issue with this approach.Expensive but so far is worth it, especially with the huge increased cost of chlorine.

I find the product interesting and was curious if it works. So far so good. Just drop it in your skimmer basket and let it do its job. Reasonable price.

This device is a nifty way to garner all the benefits of mineralized water that frog keeps clean and lowers your need to chlorinate as heavily. Placed in your skimmer basket the flow assures distribution of the frogs minerals and aids in continuous clarity and sanitization of your pools water. Requires no piping changes as do other frog systems. A bit steep in price but worth the convenience of not having to replumb your system. Good for the entire season just open the package set the installation date on the reminder wheel and place in skimmer. The frog will happily do its magic.

Using this mineral cartridge actually reduces the amount of chemicals for my pool during swim season.Really easy to use, set the date on the cartridge and set inside your skimmer below the basket and that's it.

Used a skimmer basket frog years ago then couldn't find for a few yrs. I love these these. Drop in skimmer basket. I use a skimmer sock also and use about a pound of chlorine a week. Chlorine is barely detectable on a test strip and water stays clear all summer long. 10k gal. 24 ft above ground pool.

I don't typically spend $100 on something I'm skeptical about. But since there is a shortage of chlorine tablets this year, I thought I'd give it a try. I'm really glad I did. My chlorine consumption has dropped by at least half since I dropped this little thing in my skimmer basket. It's really quite amazing. I live in the deep south U.S., where the crazy heat and soaking downpours eat chlorine like candy. I've maintained a swimming pool for the better part of 20 years, (which makes me damn near a chemist) and I've never seen anything like this. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to cut back on their chlorine costs.

Well, you think it is just some minerals and well maybe something will happen. Water is lovely and clear and soft and sparkling - worth the money. Rainy season in SWFL and it is always hard to keep the chemicals balanced, the FROG has made it easier to keep the pool clear. Less chemical equals less skin and eye irritation and, if for just that one thing, it is worth to try at least one time. I will purchase again.

certainly an easy install, just drop it in the skimmer. it seems like we use less chlorine and the water stays clean and clear. can't make a scientific comparison to not using it, but I'm convinced enough I'll buy one again next season.

We installed the frog just before the Arizona heat wave. The pool has stayed crystal clear and clean without adding more chlorine. Love it!!

I'm a new pool owner and was concerned about keeping the chemical levels even for clear water. After the initial chemical balance, I put the frog in and my water has been beautiful since! Mine is a 30' above ground. The frog sits on my pool steps. I put in one chlorine puck every week or so. I have not had to adjust the Ph or alkalinity at all since placing the frog.

Lost a bunch of trees due to storms this past winter, pool is getting a lot more sun, and water temps are higher. I was having a tuff time keeping the water from becoming cloudy, thought I'd take a chance and try this. WOW!!! Works great, water is beautiful, clear and sparkling. That said, I FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS FOR PROPER USE, I balanced my water chemistry, got the chlorine level to .05 ppm, and added the frog sanitizer to my skimmer basket. The water has stayed beautiful since then, no more cloudiness, despite the higher water temps and lots of direct sunlight. Will definitely use again next year, a bargain for a year of clear clean water with minimal chlorine.

Don't know what this brown stuff is coming out of the frog, but it's certainly nasty. Was really hoping it would help the chlorine situation this year, but now it looks like it made it worse. We have never had brown in our pool in over 10 years.
