This is a great size for backs, which is the reason that I purchased it. It does get quite cold, so be sure to wrap it in a towel. The manufacturer recommends that it be kept flat in the freezer. I can't comment on its durability at this time.

I sleep on the cold packs every night due to serious back problems. Have a freezer in my bedroom and keep them there. Easy to use and minulipate to fit so I can lay on them. Do put a heavy towel over the packs before laying on them or you will burn your skin. I highly recommend this product.

Recommend It Highly. It works exactly like I was hoping it would for my neck, knee and back. Bought a spare that is still in the closet to be sure and have one immediately if something happens to the first one.

Works great for foot/ankle injury. I'm sure this one is versatile. Easy to shape around area with the gel used inside. It looks a lot like the one used at physical therapy. Can't comment on longevity as I've only had a week

As far as price, this costs more than your average ice pack that you get at the drug store. BUT it is 1,000 times better! Definitely worth the price!!! Here's what I love about it... It's really big so you can ice your whole back at one time; it's really thick and lasts a LOOONG time during one use. Definitely worth the price.

I have purchased a number of the drug store pacs, but have found each less than adequate. I used these when I went for rehab on my knee and they felt better than anything I had ever used. That is over 50 years of inflicting pain on my body. I bought two and I am able to basically wrap both around one knee and in 30 minutes I can apply to the other taking the sheet in between off and is still very cold

I had bilateral knee replacement surgery on Nov 7, 2014. Physical therapy starts right after surgery, and it continues along with daily exercises after you return home. Icing your knees in required after each PT and exercising session. I first used a wrap around cold pack, then tried an ice bottle, and two sizes of cold packs. None of the aforementioned seemed to cool my knees sufficiently. I ordered two of these cold packs (12.5 x 18.5) as they were large and heavy. They worked perfectly to cool down my knees and are definitely worth the cost. I wish I had these when I first returned home from the hospital. Anyone having knee replacement surgery should consider purchasing these cold packs before you return home from the hospital.

Bought this product for husband to use after his shoulder surgery. Ice packs were of very high quality, durable and kept cold longer than any ice pack I have purchased or used in the past. Would strongly recommend this product.

I have a rotator cuff issue and the doc said to ice it. This is the perfect answer. It is big enough to ice my entire shoulder, and stays cold long enough to do both shoulders. It is easy to use and does the job, perfectly.

This is the same brand I use when I go to physical therapy, so I bought one for home use. Better than any other ice pack I have used. It gets colder and stays colder yet it isn't frozen solid so it can form fit (like around a knee). Would definitely recommend if you are in need of icing down on a regular basis.

LOVE THIS COLPAC. I have had hip replacement and knee replacement. This pack was the same one that was used on me at Physical Therapy so I was comfortable with the degree of 'coldness' and length of time to use it. I am sure it will hold up and will be put to use by the grandchildren. I have already lent it out for a friend who had shoulder surgery as it has the length to fold over the shoulder and cover the front and back adequately.
