This is a wonderful cold pak!I have had notable lower and mid back pain for quite some time. In August of 2014 I started seeing a chiropractor who recommended I ice my back after our visits. It was just getting too cumbersome and potentially messy to use my homemade ice packs (although I did use straight ice from the freezer in double-bagged gallon ziploc baggies for some time). I decided it was time to research and find a better solution. After I decided upon this Chattanooga pak and placed my order, I told my chiropractor and he was very supportive of the brand and the quality.This ice pack is large enough to cover my problem back areas, and is weighted enough to stay in place if I lay on my stomach and place it on my back. It is much more comfortable than My old 'ice in a bag' method; the squishy inside gel is comfortable and cushy, but it does not slosh around or float - it pretty much stays in its place. I like that even though this is a pretty big pak, I can fold it in half to store it in the freezer. It does not freeze solid hard, but instead keeps very cold in a semi flexible form. The chill lasts for quite some time, much longer than I need it to. It is also made of a nice, thick, smooth material that seems to be pretty durable - especially for the application.Overall, I am very pleased with this product. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative to ice. I plan to purchase another shape pak from Chattanooga for my knee in the future!

Great pack for after shoulder surgury. They had these where I went for PT, so I bought one for home use.

This is the type of cooling pack I've been searching for. Excellent for post knee surgery. It stays soft and flexible, but also cools evenly around the area. Clay packs are pretty soft, but they don't spread evenly on a joint as you wrap them. This product is some kind of silica gel that hugs around the area with even cooling. I think it's great and can get cold pretty quickly after first use. Highly recommend this.

Awesome! Stays cold forever. I got 'em for home use after a total knee replacement. They cost about the same as the ones that you would get at a drug store, but they are way better quality...by at least twice.

The best ice packs I have ever owned.

My first experience with this product was at physical therapy. I had t order one for myself to have at home. I use a pillowcase over the cool pac. Love how it forms over your leg. Great product.

Just what I need and expected it to be . I had them in the past ,bought in a Medical supply store, very expensive,and after sometime they start leaking. . Right now I'm very satisfied with these and hoping they will last longer.

Freezes in less than an hour, stays cold for 40-60 minutes, very high quality! I had to order a second for round the clock use, and i can actualluly use one until it's no longer ice cold, switch it out and by the time the second one is no longer ice cold, the other one is ready to go. I know you are not supposed to use ice 24/7, but my son has a severe case of osgood schlatters and ice is the ONLY thing that helps make his knee better, this ice pack has been a miricle for us! We had other ice packs that only stayed cold for 15-30 min and took hours to re-freeze, this is a A+ product!

This is the best ice pack I have ever used. My physical therapist used them in their office and I fell in love. It has a nice weight to it, conforms to your body, and stays colder longer than any other ice pack.

It stays cold! Also, it's wide enough, and long enough to cover most of my back. I have severe back problems, and these help to lessen the pain so I can sleep.

Durable, stays flexible when frozen, works as advertised. Not big enough to wrap entirely around an adult knee or calf, but you can place it as needed and secure it with a strap if needed (not provided, not generally needed). Best to place a small towel between cold pack and your skin, then wrap the whole thing with a bath towel to provide some insulation. Stays cold for at least 30 min.

This ice pack stays cold awhile. The plastic is very thick and strong.
