Works great. So much better than a tradition ice bag. It is flexible and conforms as needed. My husband has had knee issues for the last few months. His therapist used a gel cold pack and he loved it. I immediately went online and found this one. It arrived the very next day. It is a 100% better than an ice bag - no refilling with ice or falling off the knee and there is some weight to it to better concentrate the cold.

My physical therapist uses this kind of ice pack and recommended I get one for myself for home use. It is so pliable that it molds to whatever area you need to ice. I generally use it for about 20-30 minutes and it stays good and cold the whole time.

This will be the ice pack I purchase going forward.Very easy to mold to your body and has a good, substantial weight for its size.It easily lasts me 20 minutes. Back in the freezer for 2 hours and it's ready for another 20.Depending on your needs, having two of them would be helpful.

Probably the most important purchase a 30 something can make. Anything hurts? Ice it. I've used it many dozens of times and zero signs of wear/tear. I wish ColPac would make a body suit that I could fit into...

This cold pack is exceptional. I am 45 and continue to play soccer several times per week. As I have gotten older I have needed to ice more often to heal sore muscles. I have used other ice packs in the past but recently got this one. The best feature about this cold pack is the silica contents. The other ice packs I have used seem to use a gel which shifts as the ice pack warms. The silica within this cold pack stays in place even as it warms which means that the cold distribution stays consistent across the cold pack. The other thing is that I use the cold pack directly on my skin and have had no issues. I mention this because the instructions say that you should place something between you and the cold pack. The 12.5 x 18.5 size is perfect for icing my large muscle groups within my legs and back. This size cold pack likely would not work as well on smaller muscle groups in the arms but it seems that the same company offers smaller sizes if needed.

Stays cold for an extended period of time, able to ice around my full knee.
