I purchased this for my mother who has back spasms from time to time. Instead of a smaller ice pack, I elected to get the biggest one I could find. This one wraps from side to side and all of the thoracic spine (when used horizontally). When used vertically it covers all of the spinus rectus muscles. AWESOME!It gets cold fast and stays cold at least for 20-30 minutes. This is the same quality as the ones used by physical therapists (from what I can tell as I have had these ice packs on me during physical therapy after surgeries). Be sure to use something between the ice pack and you skin (e.g. shirt, blanket, etc.) as it can easily cause burns. I pop it in the freezer flat and it's cold within 15-30 minutes and frozen within an hour. The construction is durable and it's filled appropriately so that you can mold it to any body part. Be sure to redistribute the gel before freezing to shorten the freezing time.I'm thinking of buying another one for myself so that I can treat my entire hamstring and back after running and golf.

I bought this ColPaC to replace one I loaned to a friend who liked it so much I let her keep it! It is just the right size for my swollen knee. I have used it on my back and thigh as well in the past. I am very happy with the quality of the product and durability.

I love this pack!i have used several from this manufacturer and they work well. Well made and of quality materials. They stay flexible when frozen and do an excellent job of staying cold. I used mine on my calves and knees.Best I have ever used. The vinyl version is used at the local hospital.

We bought two of these after my knee replacement surgery. After almost a year I still use them daily. I pedal my recumbent bike every morning. Ten I ice it on our drive into work which is about an hour and fifteen minutes and it stays cold the whole time.

The expense of this ice pack is up there but if u are sick of Walmart Walgreens value ice packs that warm to fast than I would look into this ice pack. The first night I used it lasted me at least a hr of cold temps felt great would highly Recommend it that's for reading my post hope u feel better soon!! I sure do ;)

I have A LOT of ice packs. For sports injuries, for headaches, all kinds. This is my first ice pack purchase from the ColPac Brand and I have to say that this will be my go to brand for ice packs from here on out. This ice pack is probably the sturdiest ice pack I have had. I am sure that is mostly due to the polyurethane material on the outside but also the stitching around the outside is very solid and I am not worried at all about it not lasting. I purchased the oversized 12.5 x 18.5 ice pack to ice my shoulders and upper back and it's great. The gel on the inside of the pack stays cold for far longer than anyone should ice a muscle or injury and this oversized ice pack is heavy enough that I can just sit back on the couch with it on my upper back and shoulders and it doesnt move. All in all, this is a great ice pack and brand and I would recommend them both.

This is my second one. I recently had total knee replacement surgery and this really came in handy.I recommend the size of the pad and longevity of coldness.

Absolutely love this ice pack, both my wife and I have bad lower backs with sciatica. On the roughest days all I have to do is throw a towel over the ice pack and slap it on the lower back and 10 to 15 minutes good as new again.

soft, easily conforms to area you are icing, cold to start, but doesn't freeze your tissue, will buy more, very helpful and useful as a home ice pack and in therapy practice

I bought this brand name cold pack over 10 years ago before. I was very pleased with it and was pleasantly surprise that the company and the product was still around. I bought one and the quality was like the one I had before.

This thing is what the pros use, it is large enough to wrap around my hip or shoulder. Very durable and stays cold for large areas.

Thid idsa professional quality ice pack. It molds to whatever body part you need it for. Its also HUGE compared to other ones. Ideal for icing your entire back and helping to allieviate back pain or leg pain from herniated discs. Make sure you ice for 25 minutes 3x a day for the first few days to get the full benefit.

Convenient size for multiple uses. have been using the product for five weeks, four to six times a day. Durable, well bonded seams to prevent leaking of gel.

What a concept! All sarcasm aside, this is the first cold pack (aside from the traditional ice compresses/bags) that's actually gotten COLD and stays cold for at least 20-30 mins. It's so frustrating to buy ice pack after ice pack and not be able to have a truly COOLLLD one. My previous experience with ice packs are the traditional ones (that can be cumbersome because you truly need to lay down to ice herniated discs with them) and the Elasto-Gel cervical collar pack. The traditional packs are fine, but inconvenient. Elasto-Gel fit nice and they're snug, but they don't get truly cold and don't stay their moderately cold level for even 10 mins.If you've got some neck/upper back issues and want a pack that stays COLD fopr a long time, try this one.Travis

The cold pack is perfect to treat my new titanium and plastic shoulder. It gives me great relief, especially after the gruelling physical therapy sessions.

Before I had my hip replaced, I was using regular size cold pacs and they just didn't cover the whole hip. I knew I would need a larger pac post-op. I was so glad to find this one. It is sturdy--I've been using it since Sept 12 without any leakage. It covers my whole hip and upper leg nicely and recently I've been using it on my knee where it wraps well side-to-side and is long enough to cover above and below the knee joint too. It holds the cold well--I can count on a good 3-4 hours before needing to return it to the freezer.
