These are fine for hanging something on a wall vertically (like a big picture or some art) as long as the weight or force is down. They are not good for something sticking out from the wall horizontally (like a shelf, mantel, or game trophy) because they don't fit together tightly enough to hold the object close to the wall and the shelves droop down away from the wall.Pictures, bed headboard, anything hanging vertically is fine.

I'm generally satisfied with these, and I think they are a good value. Several reviews downgrade the product because the mounting holes are not drilled in alignment. However, this is not sloppy manufacture, but is done on purpose to avoid having two closely-spaced screw split the wood into which they are placed. The holes are not randomly positioned, but are offset by an identical amount in each piece. I agree with some of the reviews that instructions indicating this offset should have been provided in the packaging, and for this reason I gave 4 stars rather than 5.

This product is a good buy if you are aware of one issue. The holes that are drilled are not level. Make sure you level the top of the product before you mark where the holes need to be drilled.

These z-clips have a 5/8 cleat, which do not fit the 12mm rail on the S534 board. Do not believe the customer support answers to other reviews.

The clip does what it's suppose to do and works well. It's pretty basic, no frills. But one thing that you should be careful with is that the screw holes (two per plate) are not exactly horizontal. For some reason, the holes are offset by just a little bit, so if you drill two holes in your wall (or item) then install, you'll find the plate tilted.. My suggestion is to drill one hole and attach to wall (or item) first, move the plate so that it's horizontal then drill / screw the second hole.

Good strong anchor/tie for wood beams - expensive - but you get what you pay for.
