pretty good for when crawling under epdm rubber roofing to roll on some glue all day to get to a difficult area. Was impressed.

Used when painting Gelcoat which releases lots of styrene, from a sensory perspective I could not smell any styrene with the mask on, without the mask the room reeked of styrene and would have been extremely unhealthy.

Filters well, you can't even smell it through this filter.

This filter does what 3M says it will do. It protects you from particulates and gases.The Seller questions section asks if this filter is N95 compliant. The seller mentions that he thinks the filter protects you against particulates. This filter -in and of itself- does not protect to the level of N95. I am guessing the seller never opened one of these because it would break the seal. Inside is the 3M fact sheet which advises you must add the 5N11 filter to achieve N95 level of protection. This info is also available on the 3M website.The picture shows the parts needed to protect to the level of N95. If you want only N95 particulate protection you don't need this filter. The 3 parts in the picture will get you that. Substitute this filter for part 603 if you want additional protection from gases. Add goggles and you have protection at the street demonstration from tear and other irritant gases.If you start to smell the gas is the time to replace it. This seems like a very good price for that level of protection.

Muraitic acid filter. Could not smell a thing.

Every comfortable and friendly to the skin! Doing woodworking it stops alot of the dust from sanding!! I can also vacuum the dust from the outside of the filter!!

i use these when welding , grinding, and cutting material - they do work well to keep out the fumes - worth the extra $$

..SO THEY CAN get kind of expensive. I have MCS at least for now and grotesque ambient smells of grocery stores, as well as other chemicals ,(chemical isle) , and fragrances and perfumes give me horrid immune system symptoms.I have to wear something that BLOCKS all smells 100. To my surprise I noticed after about a month, the filters were getting clogged already just from ambient smells. AND I was starting to smell the ambient smells come through. I am around NO hard core paint etc etc , gas etc etc, or hard core smells at all. I do go to the grocery store and wal mart at least , 2-3 times per week total. But I get in and I get out. SO just know you may be replacing these at least once per month. SO that leads me to believe if you used them for spray painting a car, they would only be good for one hour.
