Working on construction sites I have been through many hardhats, I found the fit and adjustable handle to work quite well and fit is quite comfortable compared to other hardhats i have worn in the past.This helmet is approved by OSHA and has UV tab on top so if in the sun the hat lets you know when it's been worn out and dried out from the sun's harsh UV rays.

It's lightweight and comfortable. The vents do help to let the heat out, keeping your head cooler. Though, it seems more like what desk jockeys visiting a work site would be wearing more so than the actual workers.

This is so much more comfortable than the older style suspension. I didn't know what I was missing out on!

I'm using it in the tropics, so I'm really interested in the little red UV indicator, and how long it'll take to turn from red to white, indicating the plastic has been exposed to significant UV light and may be less protective than it was on its born-on date. I only gave it the 3rd star on durability because it's so new, and it would be unfair to rate it 5 stars before giving it a chance to suffer some real impacts. I dragged my feet before writing this review for that reason. I've worn it a month now and I like it a lot.

Said it came a ratchet suspension but didn't receive it inside the package.

I already knew I could trust the 3M brand, so I decided to test this out to see if it would be a worthy replacement. They are lightweight, easy to adjust to get the correct fit, and comfortable to wear - the vented top is actually a great improvement from our old ones. If only we could easily transfer all our safety stickers from the old ones to the new ones! LOL

The installation of the head gear can be confusing if you use the included instructions, but watch an install video online and you should fine.Mine fits great but I don't have a lot of faith in “time to replace” sticker.

I'm the owner of a slightly ramshackle property that I am fixing it up. Recently my porch plaster ceiling has been cracking and chunks of it are falling down, so I need to demo the ceiling. The plater is from the 30s and is more than an inch thick in some places because it has the original lathe and plaster onto which some more modern drywall board was sandwiched and screwed in, so as you can imagine, it is very heavy. I needed a hardhat that would be useful for this very niche and short term project and this fits the bill. I easily snapped the webbing into place and turned the dial until it fit my head and I'm now safe to take down my horrible porch ceiling. It is comfortable to wear and I am confident in the brand so I know that it will protect my dome.

I always use 3M hardhats. This one is of a better quality than my last one that wasn't even that old. I just lost it on a job. This one has better padding on the front and an additional bumper on the back between your head and the adjustment knob. Also having a UV indicator on the top is a nice addition as well! A comfortable choice for overhead protection!

High quality hat from 3M. The plastic is very strong and the adjustable head straps make this fit someone with very small to very large head. Added bonus is the UV indicator to let you when to replace the hat.

My old hard hat disappeared so I had to pick up a new one. I was expecting the new one to be the same as the old one but these are a lot nicer than they were 15 years ago.I live in a forest with many many tall trees around me by a lake and we get very strong winds quite regularly. To go outside without a hard hat on in those conditions is risking very serious injury. So I'm not in construction but I need a hard hat and this one is excellent.It comes just stuck in a bag with instructions. It can be a little tricky to put together, I actually went on YouTube and saw what I was doing wrong so if you run into any difficulty you might try that way.The old standard only improved. Nothing negative. I can say nothing negative about it at all. And it may save your life.

I've had a chance for a direct comparison with the Pyramex version of this product, which does not carry the 3M brand or the UV sensor. The sensor is important, especially if you work outdoors with your hardhat, as UV light can break down most plastics.That makes the 3M hard hat better for working outdoors. I would recommend the Pyramex for those working more often indoors, but this 3M is perfect for both, and at a present price-difference of only $5, it seems like that extra $5 is worth it for safety equipment that won't cop out when you need it most. A good hard hat isn't just handy to have, it can save your life.The harness can be a bit tricky to install, but the instructions on the bag make it clear enough how to install it, and from there, it's easy to adjust so that no matter what size your head is, or how you keep your hair, you'll be well-protected with this. Additionally, this hard hat features vents along the top ridge, meaning it's much better for working outside than the Pyramex, as the hot, moist air of your scalp can ventilate more readily.

I recently ordered two safety helmets. The first one was difficult to assemble, didn't fit properly, was difficult to adjust, had limited adjustability, and just felt uncomfortable and cheap. However, my experience with this 3M SecureFit helmet was far better. The overall quality feels much better, the assembly was a breeze, there is plenty of adjustability to get a perfect fit, and it feels quite comfortable, like you could wear it all day without a problem. The vents also help when you're working in a hot environment. I also prefer the Hi-Vis yellow as it matches my black and yellow safety vest perfectly. Very happy with it and would gladly recommend it.

This was the perfect birthday gift for a female friend of mine who started taking college construction courses at age 65!!!

I bought this as a joke but I really wear it and love it. This has saved my head more times than I can count. Great buy

I lost my last hard hat and needed to replace it. This 3M hard hat is easy to assemble and has an extremely comfortable suspension system. My last one would irritate my head a bit after a few hours of use, but this one is so comfortable I hardly even know I have it on.Great price, great comfort, great value.
