This is a great book, highly recommend.

50 Hikes in Ohio is perfect book for those wishing to explore the many trails Ohio has to offer. The first few pages lists the hikes at a glance. It gives the name of the hike, the town or mountain it is near, the length, difficulty, and altitude. I then checks if the hike has nice views (almost all of them do), waterfalls, and if it's good for families and children. There is a small box with notes about the trails as well. Once the reader has gone through the list and made note of the trails that are of interest, he or she can find a more in-depth explanation of the trail. These are arranged by geographic location: Central Ohio, Northwestern Ohio, Northeastern Ohio, Southeastern Ohio, and Southwestern Ohio. Author Ralph Ramey, gives a brief history of the trail, driving directions for how to get there, and a description of what hikers will see as they walk along the trail. There are many color photographs of the trails, as well as pictures of some of the for a and fauna found on the trails. 50 Hikes in Ohio is very well-organized, interesting, and easy to understand. Highly recommended for outdoor enthusiasts who wish to hike in Ohio.
