The external fit and finish looks fine but it’s definitely going back. It has two problems. In order to use it I would need to change the post stud bolt. It is about a half inch too short. The slot nut will fit my machine fine with a little machining but I have to mention the hole is drilled off center. If those were the only bad things about it I could live with it and just order a longer stud. The biggest problem is when you turn the handle to lock in the tool it binds and feels like there are rocks in the threads. I opened it up to check the condition and it’s just lousy machining.

Good solid lock up, easy install on my Vevor 7x14 Lathe. Just take of your old threaded tool post, remove the lower block from your new post and thread it right into your cross slide. I will be picking up more of the 250-001 tool holders. Great upgrade

To mount this tool post on my jet lathe, I had to mill about .125" off the top of the cross slide to lower the tool height...also cut down and studded the new center mounting bolt onto the existing tool post bolt. Installed some inserted cutting tools and now I cant belive the finish on on my work!!!
