I cut a hole in the floor above a woodstove (located in the basement). I purchased the Register Booster Fan to help pull the heat from the woodstove. The Register has two fans but they don't seem to move much air even on the highest setting. Might work great for other applications. Good quality and noise was not an issue.

We need a boost in air flow to the most used room in our house and these registers work perfectly. The fan sensor was a bit difficult for this non-IT Savvy geezer to set. I stayed with the instruction and finally found MY mistake in reading the instructions. We LIKE the way it works automatically.

Tight fit, not the simplest to program but once configured these improve airflow in a room without having to run the full HVAC blower all the time.I have used both the cooling feature as well as the fan manually on at a set speed, heat boosting is not required for this room(but could be a way to combat a poorly insulated room's temperature difference. pulling more cooled air in summer and warm air in the winter.Thermostatically controlled to turn on when air temperature in the duct is above or below a set point. I use them to pull more cool air from the duct and other rooms through a room with lots of light and solar heating. I was worried about our Master suite getting too cold but that isn't an issue. As well as there is not much restriction on air flow when fans are not running so no need to remove them when additional airflow is not required.Yes, these are 6x12 and sit down in the duct almost 2 inches. For my installation, this required trimming the carpet and making sure the duct opening was fully open. While a very tight fit, they do not require any additional mounting to avoid rattling or vibrations when running.The long-life fans move a good amount of air relatively quietly, (a lot quieter than a box fan or table fan, but not fully silent, the HVAC blower on high is still louder)After locking the controller and turning off the LED display, the LEDs will turn back on after power loss, and do not go back dark automatically. (but the operating configuration does not reset after a power cycle)

Very tight fit, low noise, easy installation, and moves air very well to increase or decrease temperature rapidly.

2 Minute install fixed a hot room. Simple, quick and easy solution. Getting one more for hot spot in house.

The fit was pretty tight but I made it fit. It blows out the air tremdlesly compared to just the regular vent. Hoping that when winter comes it will make the room more comfortable.

I was having issues with my BR not blowing hard through the vents since it was the last room to get air. I decided to purchase 2 vents for my room and 1 for my bathroom. They really work to pull more air into the room and you can adjust the speed and temp you would like. My room is cooler now with this summer heat.

My son told me about these and I'm so glad he did. They keep our upstairs cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

I am using this to vent AC from one room (that gets more AC pressure) to an adjoining room. The adjoining room is my bedroom and I have a Nest remote thermostat which I use to regulate the AC at night. When using the Nest remote thermostat the entire floor gets 5-6 degrees colder than the bedroom because of the low air coming in from the HVAC vent. AC runs too much trying to keep the bedroom cold. Instead of using it on the existing HVAC vent in the bedroom, I did a through the wall vent to the room that is 5-6 degrees colder and installed the air trap. What a difference! Now there is only a 1 degree difference in all all the rooms, and the AC runs much less saving me money. Also looks great. Quality, well built item. 5 stars. Only wish is that it came in black.

We have an older house and the .ain bedroom is as far away as it can be from the A/C unit. We bought this last summer and it seemed to work pretty well.Well this year of course we're having an insane heat wave and unfortunately, the fan is just not cutting it. I'm not sure if the fan has weakened over the course of the year or if the heat is just too intense for it to properly cool the room. For reference, it's in a 2nd floor bedroom on the floor. For the past few weeks all it has done is make the room a few degrees cooler within a 2.5 ft radius of the vent. It just isn't strong enough to pull the cool air into the room fully. We had to prop up a window fan on the floor in front of the vent to circulate the cool are properly.This is a real your mileage may very type product. If your vent is in/near the ceiling, it may work better for you in terms of air circulation. But for a vent in the floor, it simply doesn't have to juice to circulate cool air into a 2nd floor room.

Have a small room upstairs with one large vent for heating and cooling just does have enough airflow but with this you set the temperature for cool air or heat and fan activates! Just what I was looking for and easy set up !

There is no way in earth that this thing puts out 160cfm.. maybe 75-80max

This fan fits perfect. Its easy to use and it works great. But its old technology. The speed is set to the room temperature, based on the device thermometer. It doesnt work with the AC thermostat. I havent figured out how to turn it off without unplugging the device. The manufacturer needs to improve this part, or at least create an app to control the device without having to be present to unplug the machine. The fan helps move the cold air through the room and helps keep the entire room at the same temperature. No hotspots.

In use only few days now , but can lower temp of the room for about 10 degrees ,easy setup,Very nice copper/ brown finish ,easy programming.

This is very quiet and does a great job of dropping the temperature in our bedroom by a couple of degrees at night.

Helps maintain temperatures more evenly especially the rooms farther from the a/c unit. I bought a second booster for the kitchen.

We got it for a room that is notorious for getting HOT every summer, 80 F hot, when the rest of the place is 72. I hated running AC and keeping the place so cold. But I did, since the problematic room has an axolotl tank, the water has to stay under 70 F at the very maximum. The room temperature has been driving the tank temp to 73, which is very dangerous for the axolotl. And it's not even summer yet! I got the Booster Fan yesterday, and OH MY GOD! The room is 70 F!!! It's insane!! I have the fan set on maximum setting, 10 - it is not loud at all, and is very very effective! The tank temp is now 65 F - which is great! I am so so relieved! Awesome product!!

It's super quiet and we have used it for the wood stove to bring heat up from down stairs. Can't even hear it fits perfectly in the floor. We will be ordering another for the bedroom. Doesn't make a difference when vacuuming vacuum glides right over it.

The fan on this is not as powerful as I wanted, but that is mainly because I am trying to use it for something it was not designed for. It is designed to boost the output from my air handler, but I am trying to use it move air from a warm room to a colder one using only the internal fan. It does do this, but not very fast.
