I have used this fan for 3 weeks now, and just ordered a second one. We recently remodeled our 2nd floor, and keep doors closed now due to pets. The change in airflow created hot and cool spots within our house. Opening and closing select vents was not enough. I have monitored the air temp in 2 updaters rooms. The one with the booster fan is continuously 3 degrees cooler than the one without. I even moved the fan back and forth between the rooms. Whichever room has the fan, is more comfortable. Hence, I ordered a second one.As far as operation goes, it couldn't be easier. I have my fan set to come on when it detects air cooler than 65 degrees coming out the vent (for A/C), or air hotter than 78 (for heat). Works like a charm. Quiet enough right next to the bed even on the highest fan setting.

This is a wonderful product. Our master suite was always unbearably hot in the summer despite during down the thermostat. In just a few hours after installing the room was cooler and more comfortable to sleep. I highly recommend this product. I wish I knew about this 18 years ago

Works as it should just wish the fan could pull more air!!! Solid but not great!!!

I am so happy to have this booster, my upstairs bedroom was always hot in the summer, I installed this booster (easy to install) it keeps my room very comfortable. I recommend and plan on buying another

Fitted into my vent very easily. Took 15 mins to install. The temperature in the upper room now came down significantly. AC is blasting good now. Earlier this vent was not pushing enough air. But now all good

Beautiful and high quality; I had tried a number of things to get more heat to the far bedroom (mine); in the absence of dampers, primarily by masking other vents in warmer rooms.I hesitated to order, given the expense, thinking 'I don't need a thermostat... just give me the fan and charge less'. However, it is NOT a thermostat; it simply measure the airflow from the duct, so the fan will only kick in when it's actively heating or cooling. Running the fans when the air in my ducts is ambient temp would only add to the problem (for heating, anyway).So I would suggest triggering the fans via setting a temp... as soon as it senses the air from the HVAC is hotter (or cooler), meaning it's running... the fans kick in. I set a very low threshold... if the furnace is running, fans kick on in short order.If it overshoots and gets too hot in there, I will control this by turning the max fan speed setting down (vs. having it wait longer to kick on... this should keep it more consistent). It's fairly quiet- on max, still less sound than a small oscillating fan makes- so I won't be lowering the fan speed for noise considerations alone. In fact, the sound is similar to a white noise unit that one might purchase; perhaps it's just me, but I like it.So that teeny little LED screen is GREAT and allows a very high level of customization to your needs- bit of tweaking and you'll forget it even exists. Still a bit more costly than I might have expected, but worth it; I love it and would like to marry it, but marrying a duct fan is apparently not yet legal in my state? Highly recommend; beautiful finish and feels reliably sturdy. Time will tell about longevity- if anything occurs (increased fan noise or any weird blips to total failure- I will come back and edit this review. For now, I love her with all my (warm) heart. Pushes the heat or ac exactly where you need it!

This is an awesome concept but if you have moderate air flow through the duct, this might inhibit it. I was trying to solve the issue of having a cold bedroom over the garage, and after reading reviews I thought this would be the solution. I could see how it would work wonders for a room with very little flow from the vent. But I’ve discovered there is nothing wrong with my air flow, I just need to insulate the garage ceiling better.

Installed to compliment a room that is always cold. Problem solved.

I had a floor vent for the wood stove in the basement, but it was covered when we installed a rug. So, I installed a new vent and used this booster to improve performance. Wife loves it, and works great. Very quiet.

I bought this because I needed a way to push heat from my woodstove in our family room up to the bedrooms on the floor above. There is drop ceiling and a 1 1/2 foot space between the 2. I put this fan in the floor in hallway where the bedrooms are and a vent in the drop ceiling. I connected the 2 via flexible insulated ducting and wow what a difference. My wife noticed it was definitely warmer and the noise from the fan was unnoticeable. I had the fan set to level 10 and I have a light sleeper in the house whom hears every noise and she was not disturbed by it. I would recommend this fan to anyone thanks.

This was just what I needed for my project. blows a good flow and isn't noisy at all.

I have a single vent from the central air running up to my upstairs dormer. Before installing this the temperature difference between the main floor was often more than 5 degrees F off on the worst days. After installation the temperature difference was lower at around 2 degrees off during days of extreme temps.I messed around with the auto on/off features but found for me it works best to just leave it running all the time. I have it set to half speed and it's not loud at that setting. The auto on/off modes can have the display turn off, but the always on mode doesn't have this feature so I taped black electrical tape over the display so it doesn't glare at night

Expensive and doesn't work nearly as well as I had hoped. Difference is marginal.

For the cost i guess i was expecting something a little more robust. It does not turn of and on with the furnace or a/c. Meaning it will run when the furnace or a/c is off which is useless. It doesn't really boost airflow either. Just not entirely pleased.

I’ve used various AC Infinity products with great results. This booster is made well and fit the register opening perfect.Note! Read the directions on setting the thermostat.It’s opposite of what you think. You don’t set the booster thermostat the same as your room thermostat.For cool, you set the booster about 10 degrees lower in order to start the fan when it senses cold air from the HVAC. The booster fan will ramp down as the air temp rises back to room temperature.
