This is a very nice and well-constructed louvered vent. The inter-linked louvers are moved in tandem unlike others. Unfortunately, thickness is its biggest flaw. It is simply too thick for my application, and I had to send it back.

Not a 6 inch duct. My exhaust duct was 5 and 3/4 OD. This is 5 3/4 OD. Had to retrofit my duct to get this to work. And I had to build a 1.5 inch box around the finish to house the extended louvers, because the duct was not 6inch and would not go over my duct. Make a six inch duct , six inches.

They are sturdy , works like they should.

The frame is tough and well-made, and the shutters are even linked together (they close by gravity, no spring). I ended up not using it because it's too big, at 9 inches square. It could have been 2 smaller both ways pretty easily; but if you have enough space, it seems great. It has no bug/rodent screen, but there's enough room to screw or glue in your own....

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package to see this vent. It is sturdy and constructed to last a long time. Louvers all open and close together as they are linked to each other. The paint job was a quality finish. Each louver has a rubber bumper so when they open and close they won't make a lot of noise. The only thing I wished for that this doesn't have is a bug screen. There is space behind the louvers to add one, so I'll do that myself. I haven't installed this yet, but it should be a breeze. I look forward to many years of service from this vent - I'm glad I bought it.

This seems very well built and sturdy, however it seems like the fins are a bit to heave to go along with the 6 AC Infinity fan that I have on my Glowforge. A small drop of oil on the hinges seemed to help, but even on full power they only open 1/4. I can notice a definate difference in airflow if I manually open them all the way, however this defeats the purpose of having them close automatically.I like the sturdy construction of the main body, however I wish the vent fins were ligher so they would open easier like the 4 vent I had on before.
