Nice chairs. Like others have stated It goes together very easy if you don't tighten all the screws down also like others have said the seat is rough. I suggest sanding it a bit. It's a sturdy chair. just a note the back rest board goes behind the bars otherwise you will need to be the hulk to get it together. I would have given 5 stars but because the wood is too rough and and quality control. I ordered 3 chairs and one box was missing the metal cross back pieces. I ordered these chairs because it's hard to find counter height chairs. lowered, sanded and repainted. I'm converting these to counter height.

These chairs look great and are comfortable to sit in. They were very difficult to assemble, and I had an excellent contractor assemble them. The black paint on the chairs is wearing off already after only two months of use.

Everything will lineup if you do not tighten all the screws until the end! I have read every review and was almost reluctant to order these chairs but I have been wanting them for a long time and went ahead and ordered anyway. I read how things don't lineup. Everything lines up if you do not tighten all the screws until the end. I also read that the wood is very rough. Yes the wood is very rough and this is the reason why I did not give it a whole five stars. I sanded the seats down and then re-stained them. They are absolutely perfect now. I would recommend these chairs to anyone, keeping friendly in mind my suggestions.

Looks nice but the holes for the top back of the chair do not line up AT ALL! Got to the very end to find this out. Sent back.

Very nice looking chairs.. Some of the “distressing” is a little cheap looking, but overall these barstools have a great look! Pretty difficult to put together though, much easier with 2 people for sure.

This was very hard to put together. I'm a single lady and it took me two hours to put together because I couldn't hold the pieces together very well and screw them together at the same time. Some of the pieces would not line up. The back was horrible putting it together. Other than that the seat is very rough. Splinters. Will need to be careful. Sturdy. No worries there. Pretty.
