This piece of brilliance has been a life a marriage saver in our house! Comes in a smaller box than you would expect, but assembles easily and can be adjusted to fit perfectly. It is super light weight and easy to install. I can't remember if the quick release parts come with this product or the other mounting hardware, but GET THEM! The ability to take it in and out has been a lifesaver. We have moved flooring, sofas, treadmills, lumber, and dressers with this thing, and each time we are more and more impressed by it. We have lent our truck to friends as well and they always come back raving about this bed extender and how simple, convenient, and light weight it is. Get this and get the quick release!

I don't know if I will ever user this as an extender, but it is fantastic for the 90 of the time when I use the truck as a domestic vehicle. When it is rotated into the bed, I can put groceries in the back. Slam on the breaks for a deer, and not have to climb to the front of the bed to retrieve my groceries. It lets you divide you bed into a good sized trunk plus the rest of the bed and is strong enough to keep things that way. In the 10 of the time I need to use the bed as a truck, it removes easily and is light weight. Plus I know I could use it as an extender if it ever came to that...

I was a little apprehensive to purchase after reading the reviews on the problematic bracket mounting template - I don't like drilling errant holes in my truck and other reviews were murky as to what exactly was the problem. I ordered anyway and was under pressure to install in a very quick fashion - was supposed to be leaving on a road trip with my dirtbike and a full truck bed later that day. It is obvious once you have the items and directions in front of you, but for those who may be apprehensive in ordering like I was, the issue is that the hole pattern on the paper template is not the same as the bracket. The rest of the paper template is accurate as to positioning the bracket. So, just position bracket using template, hold bracket in place, and mark hole locations with a pencil or marker. Then punch and drill as you expect. Everything else about the product has been great. Easy install and very useful on our road trip.

After reading quite a few of the reviews, it became clear I needed to make a few adjustments to the install. I purchased this for my 2014 F150 with the 6 1/2 foot bed. I miss having a full 8 foot and this extender gives me that extra cargo space. As other reviews have cited, the installation template isn't accurate. One review in particular recommended using a toggle in the hinge hole through the single bottom hole in the extender mounting bracket. This was the key to the install, and made the entire installation an absolute breeze.

Seems like a good product you half to drill three holes on each side of your truck but not to hard to install.

Great product - easy to install and looks great.I installed it on my 2019 Tundra DC. The installation is very easy and with optional no-drill brackets (for Tundra) takes less than 30 minutes. Unfortunately, the no-drill brackets are not included and it's quite difficult to buy them. The order number for the Tundra no-drill brackets is 74614-01A. Some people were successful calling AMP Research to get them or they can be purchased online elsewhere.I will change my rating to 5 star as soon as the no-drill brackets will be included or easily available as an option.

Super easy install on 2018 F150 Supercrew. As another reviewer mentioned, the drilling template does not match up perfectly with the mounting bracket, so I just used the template for the bottom screw, then used the bracket itself as a template for the other screws. It seems really sturdy, and it flips between the two positions smoothly. I will come back and change my review if I have any problems, but I don't anticipate that.

I use it to haul lumber one way and to haul groceries the other way! I modified mine and added coated metal gutter screen.

AMP Research website does not list a bed extender for the 2020 F250, but this one will fit perfectly. I tried to call the company to share this info with them, but of course received no call back... Hopefully this helps someone else.

Great, simple and quality design. Light but sturdy. Solid construction. Instructions clear and easy to follow for your installation. USA company with great customer support. Great communication by phone and email. I called in with some questions and got a live, helpful individual with no problems. Highly recommended. Serves my purposes on my 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor. I love the ease of flipping it into the bed without having to take anything apart.

The thickness of the tubing is very thin! Whatever the paint used it comes off just by installing it, very poor application of coating! It was ordered for my truck specifically and it did not fit I needed to cut the tubing which was not expected.Also the hardware for putting it together is China made not USA!

At first I was not going to give an excellent review because it was asking me to drill into my truck to mount this bed extender. However, with a little research I found a mounting bracket Directly with AMP that eliminates the drilling. Awesome all around. If anyone needs a similar bracket, google AMP research and they will help you get what you need.

Fit my 2018 F150 XL perfect. The only down side is the direction required drilling bracket into bed. I was able to find adapter that prevented me from drilling.
