Should have done it long ago.

It says right on the package that this is one of the more difficult things you'll install on your truck. They are not kidding. You will need to be an expert to do this. I hired an expert and it took him eight hours, but I absolutely love the finished product on my truck. I'd recommend taking it somewhere and having them do the install. On the 2003 to 2007 The steps completely disappear under the truck when closed. I've been told on the later years that you can still see the steps when closed. It's now so easy for me to get in my truck I can't believe I didn't do this five years ago.

Took a good half a day to install which is really not bad, fairly straight forward directions, luckily taking the dashboard apart was pretty easy on the 2003 Dodge Ram it was installed in. Install is for an experienced diyer though, if you've not done anything like this before it would probably be daunting. Some drilling required, electrical work in the dash etc... Once completed I did have to pull the battery a couple of times to get the system in sync. Know it works great, open a door and the steps drop down in seconds, do beware though it will bite you in the shin if ya stand too close :)

It took some work to install. Make sure you have someone familiar with dash removal and electrical wiring. I did and my buddy got it wired up fine. I did the physical steps, follow instructions carefully. One specific area to be careful on are the 4 mounting bracket attachments. The tabs on mine had to be bent out just a fraction to catch the hole on my 2003 Dodge Ram 2500. Other than that , the fit was perfect and their operation is fantastic. Steps deploy about half way to the ground and stow under body where they are not visible. These steps are nearly identical to my buddy's 2021 factory power steps. I highly recommend these AMP Steps.
