I've got a 2016 F150 that I ordered this step for. I had to use a round file to widen one bolt hole to be able to make all the parts fit together properly. Other than that, it seems like it's going to work perfectly.

Very sturdy and installation reasonable. I reversed the assembly steps 12 as explained in earlier post because otherwise the holes did not align. Luckily I have clamps to pull it together to get the initial assembly completed. I gave it 4 stars because I paid a premium price and had to McGiver the installation. For the price I expect everything to go together as stated in the instructions without issue. Seems well built and carries my weight easily, time will tell.

75312-01A fits above referenced vehicle perfectly even though AMP says you need 75328-01A.You will need a 24 mm box end or open end wrench for the install. 24MM socket will not go through the holes..

This step is nice and sturdy. That's what I was looking for. Debated on ordering a less expensive brand, but after reading reviews I decided to step up ( lol ) and get the one with the best reviews.Tucks away fairly well also.

Easy that is if you're agile. As others have mentioned, it's not a perfect fit but if all the bolts/nuts are left loose until all are started it's easier. For the price it should fit better.

The only thing that concerns me about the step is the type of plastic that is used for the step pad. Time will tell how it will hold up. As often as it will be used, I would imagine it will last the life of the truck.

This is my second purchase of this product as the first one stayed on my 2013 F150 when I sold it. Great product with clear directions. Very study and flips in and out with a touch of your foot.

To get it out of the way first, some of the holes may not exactly align right away. Because most of the holes are cut before the part is folded, they may be off slightly. This is pretty normal for any kind of formed part like this. Follow the cardinal rule of machine assembly - Start all bolts before tightening any - and you will be fine. I did have to use a bar clamp to align the last bolt, but it didn't take a lot of effort. The end result was a very sturdy step that looks great.I will caution that it does take some effort and a good torque wrench or two. On my 2015 F150, it was a bit of a chore to get the wrenches in to all the tight places they needed to go. A bit of patience, and everything went together. The operation of the step is very simple. It pops up and down with ease. It stays put in either position. Standing on the step feels very solid, and it is wide enough for both of my big feet for good firm footing. I am very happy with the step, and my old knees will thank me.

Once installed my husband is very happy with how well this works.Installation: was a moderate amount of effort for a very handy guy with a lot of tools in his box. This isn't something you can install with a basic tool collection.

This a strong, well-made, functional fold-away step that is of great help for someone that gets up and down to their truck bed often. The step folds away neatly. It can be positioned to poke out a little bit or be more flush with the bumper - see pics. You may need a socket extension in addition to other items listed in the instructions. It is listed to fit a F-150 2015-2020 and it was ordered with the full knowledge that it may or may not fit a 2021. The short answer is that if the 2 nuts (left) that attach the bumper to the truck circled in red in the pic are 21mm (as per AMP instructions) then it should fit - IF they are 24mm nuts (in other 2021) then you will have several significant issues. Before you order this item you may want to check if you have 21 mm nuts there. For standard installation regardless of your truck year, I have 2-3 tips- when assembling the large triangular bracket only loosely insert the 13 mm bolts - you need these loose to afford play when eventually inserting the 2 x 15 mm bolts- set the triangular bracket aside and very carefully thread the 2 x 15 mm bolts into the spring-loaded arm until about 3/8” remains exposed. Once you make sure you have these straight-threaded (and not cross-threaded) THEN unscrew them and attach the spring-loaded arm to the triangular bracket (not forgetting the small angled piece) using these same holes- rotate the small angled piece such that the end is parallel to the 2 larger bolt holes. Torque down the 15 mm bolts, torque down the 13 mm bolts.Issues you will likely encounter installing on a 2021 (with 24 mm bolts)- the bolt holes in the triangular bracket will need to be drilled slightly larger- you will need a 24 mm socket. These are typically 1/2” drive.- if you can find a short-socket you might be able to finagle the socket with the 24mm nut up the channel on the side of the triangular part and tighten the nut in that manner- i could only find a long socket - it did not fit through the larger ‘socket holes' and those had to be drilled/filed larger

Seems sturdy, but some of the bolt holes didn't line up. Some of the bolts should be torqued before installing on the truck. Can't get a torque wrench on them after installing.

I can finally get up on the bed of my 2020 Ford F150 without the need for a small step stool.(ha ha).I am 71 years old now and getting up on the bed of my truck was becoming quite the chore.I researched all the other brands and decided on this one. It is a very well made truck step, that I have no doubt will last the lifetime of this truck and me too.Easy to drop down to use and just as easy to put back up out of the way.It was fairly easy to install and I would definitely recommend this brand to any truck owner, especially an older person like myself, whose body just doesn't work like it use to.

Fit perfectly! The only thing I needed to complete installation was a deep socket which I picked up at harbor freight.

Great product and it saves wear and tear on the body. I used to carry a step ladder with me to get in and out my F150 which was annoying. With a slight push on the step I can easily and safely get in and out the truck bed. Very well engineered and with the price.

Let me just say, I didn't realize there was a different part number for 21 and got this as a gift for my 2021 f150.. despite it saying it does not fit, it DOES but it's a bit more difficult. The big nuts you have to remove from the truck then install the bracket and then nuts back are NOT 21mm like the instructions say. They are more like 15/16. The problem lies when you go to reinstall the nuts through the amp bracket your deep socket will not fit through the holes in the exterior amp bracket because it is too wide. What I had to was find a thin enough 15/16 socket that I could fit between the two halves of the amp step bracket and onto the nut that I started on by hand then I used a short extension through the hole where the socket was supposed to fit to be able to tighten it to spec.. Besides that everything else was super simple and the step is a game changer!
