I used to own an F-150 with the integrated tailgate step that you pull out and it made the tailgate very heavy. I installed this bumper step on my F-350 and like it so much better. It's quick and easy to use and my tailgate is way lighter than on my previous truck. Installation was fairly easy using the deep well socket and 3 extension. I didn't need the special extension mentioned in the instructions, just took my time. I'll never go back to the tailgate step.

This is the best add on I've installed on my 2017 F250. Not sure why so many are struggling with the installation? I literally installed mine in 15 minutes with the suggested tools in the directions. So much easier for my aging knees to get in and out of my truck bed now!

Had this on for a year. This step gets plenty of use. I have a 19” F250 with a 6 inch lift. I'm 5'7” in my mid 50's so this allows me easy climbing access into the bed of my truck. I'm always loading and unloading the bed and this is a game changer. Sturdy solid step!

The holes didn't line up on the initial assembly but I was able to take out one of the bolts from step one and get the bolts from step 2 started then go back and put the other bolt in. The real problem is putting it on the truck. There is one rear bumper nut you cannot tighten with a 21mm deep socket once the step is in place. You can't use a normal wrench because of obstructions. I had to buy a set of half moon wrenches with a 21mm and I was able to do it with that. A stubby wrench would have probably worked too but a 21mm stubby is very hard to find. Overall it's a nice addition to the truck once it's installed.

I love the look. It's not obtrusive, it is easy to use, even when your arms are full. Lowering and raising is as simple as a kick of your foot.I absolutely recommend this product

Not sure what all the fuss is about the install being difficult. I did have a wobble adaptor for my ratchet but didn't use it. Impact wrench helps a lot if you have one but not necessary. Unit seems to be sturdy and works well. I am not sure what keeps it from falling down on it's own when I hit a bump but so far so good.

Highly recommend this product. I didn't want the factory tailgate step and went this route. I am very satisfied with it the install was really easy. I'm 300lbs and it's right at maximum weight for it but the step feels strong.

Installation was easy (if you have a swivel socket) I am not a tall person so the step has come in very handy! The anchoring makes this step VERY stable and is well built!
