I usually get good results with most API products. But was let down with this medication. MIGHT still work for your main aquarium or quarantine tank though. Be prepared for more of a cloudy look with soap like bubbles that might cover entire surface of the water. Also hard to remove afterwards in a main tank that has live plants. Overall there wasn't much help with this medication. A more in depth instruction packet in the box would of a really been helpful too.

iupi keep fish medivibe on hand becuase fish seem to get sick at the weirdest time and normally I don't seem symptoms until late after I get home. So I had a mysterious slime get into my goldfish tank onto fish ( extra slimy fish). No new fish in months no new plants. And regular water changes. I followed directions for tank size and within two days fish where better. Slime. All gone fish more active. I contiuned the medication per instruction and everyone made it it helped that I cuaght it quick and had the medicine on hand. I keep this and a bottle form of meficine on hand becuase I never know if somethings going to get into a tank.

My blood parrot had pop eye. After using other water treatments with no effect, I used this. His eye cleared right up!

Currently have a dojo loach suffering from fin rot. Went for my usual melafixpimafix, after a few days there wasn't much improvement in quarantine. Bought this and it came the next day. Within a day or 2 it went from lethargic and not eating to full of energy/appetite. Still quarantining my dojo for a bit longer but it appears to be working. It's tail has mostly fallen off but still swimming with no disability it seems. I go for pretty small dose each day.

has been a loyal user of this brand, but ,The same brand has changed the measurement and the quality has also changed, it's terrible to pollute the water quality, I hope my fish is ok

My fish tolerated the medicine well, and although they survived, the tail fin did not visibly regenerate during the treatment, nor even after a month. But the fish has learned to make do - as a lot of disabled beings have to do....With the charcoal filter element out as instructed, the water turns darker, a kind of green brown, and an abundant light brown foam forms on the surface.I really don't know how to rate the medicine, other than the fish survived in its hospital tank long enough that once it could swim almost normally, the other fish quit bullying it. It seems pretty normal in the wild for sickly animals to be treated badly. That is why you should have a small separate hospital aquarium ready, with really nothing other than an good water circulator/air pump.

I didn't know what was wrong with my Betta fish but he looked all wrong! I gave him this and after just a day or so he started swimming around and eating again. I was amazed! I was so worried he would die. Thank you API! Now he will keep swimming

Our recently acquired silver and black veil tail angelfish developed fin rot about a week after bringing her home. Tried Melafix, and it did nothing so I moved on to this. Yes, this stuff turns your water red by the time you're on the last dose, but it works and doesn't hurt the biofilter. Our angelfish's fins are now almost fully grown back. Very pleased with this medication - thanks API!

Saved my betta, hands down.After trying water swaps and betta fix, I tried this as my last ditch effort to save my little guy. After just one day I could visibly see the fins on my betta healing and his responsiveness improved noticeably.Four days later the fin gaps are healed and his energy is back, he's looking so much better!Highly recommend!

We tried a LOT of things before this but none of them worked (tried changing the water PH, tried the fin oil, tried erythromycin, etc.). We opted to move the fish to a big bin to avoid staining things in the tank and give more water for the medication and so it was a little bit of a pain but I will say that it actually resolved the fish's issue. We have a beautiful red and blue beta fish and the tail started to have problems, started to eventually wear away and then started to tear. We thought that it may be too late to fix the fish's fins but this actually worked. By the time it went back into the tank you couldn't really see an improvement but over the next few weeks the fish returned to a vibrant color with the fins improving and it seemed more alive. We will use this again when needed.

My poor Betta fish had really bad fin rot and I tried everything: adjusting the pH, melafix, changing tanks, weekly water changes. Finally this product did the trick! His fins were almost completely white and now he's back to his beautiful black and blue color. I am so relieved.. I thought I was going to lose him.

I should have listened to the reviews. I gave my fancy goldfish the second dose of this stuff and the next morning it was floating upside down. I rapidly did a 50 water change and put charcoal in the filter and by some miracle managed to save my fish. I would not recommend to this product to cure your fish but if your goal is to euthanize it, this is your stuff!
