Was told mollies are so easy to keep, but mine kept dying and quickly. Bought this and was able to use it to fix tank parameter problems, now my mollies are happy and healthy and even reproducing. Only downside is the color coding and trying to guess what color it most looks like.

It works great and the instructions are easy to read. I'm not sure about the 800 tesea thought.Side note, I feel like a mad scientist when using the test tubes and chemicals to test water quality.

The test kit is great and easy to use for a novice like me. I learned the hard way though that, while yes it does tell you results and how to fix - it does not actually come with any solutions to fix. You'll need to buy them separately. I'd recommend buying the API pH adjusters (both up and down) and the API Quick Start as starter items. Then go from there.

I am in the break-in period of a saltwater tank. Had a snail die off I used both the API reef and saltwater test and found elevated ammonia using this test. Large water change and this test saved my Stony LPS Corals that came on the live rock.

I'm a relatively new aquarium owner. I have a 20 gallon fresh water tank. This has been extremely easy to use. The instructions were clear and the charts were very easy to read results. You will pay double for this exact kit at the pet stores.

I use this weekly and sometimes daily on my 14 tanks. I could not live without it! Test strips are not accurate. I love having peace of mind and it last a long time. Be sure to follow tge instructions exactly for each test when using.

The first thing you'll be asked when you seek help for a problem in your tank is, what are your water parameters and this kit will tell you with accuracy and reliability. The test strips are cheaper but you definitely get what you pay for. Want to know if your tank is cycled, if you're having an ammonia spike? This is the tool you need. Buy it!

I had algae problems in my pond and had first bought the easy to use test strips to see if the water was out of balance in the nitrogen cycle. The strips showed acceptable levels of everything, which I knew could not be correct since the algae was increasing day by day. So I bought this kit, and it yields different results based on which I addressed the problems and brought the algae problem under control. I think the test strips are okay if you are looking for a quick and easy way to see if the water chemistry is way out of whack. But if you are fine tuning the strips do not not work well. The test kit, though involving more work and time, is the way to go.

Takes more time to do it but I feel it is accurate. I'd like the fact I get so many tests out of the kit. Can retest without worrying about how many tests I have. I enjoy testing the water with my son it's like a science project.
