Kept getting weird readings from those multi test strips that are SUPER expensive and the readings were always inconsistent. Got this test kit and found my levels are exactly where they are supposed to be. And you can run the test 100s of times for less than the strips.I would recommend this kit for anyone who wants to make sure they have the proper conditions for the fish they are trying to keep.

This comes with one api glass tube which is nice if you did not buy the master test kit and do not have any tubes. Also nice to get another one since they are fragile. Same stuff that in master kit, but without buying the kit.

Im a beginner beta owner and still learning whats best for my little guy, this test really helps make sure hes in healthy water after his water changes. It is a pretty penny but its worth it.

Getting the right balance in water for fish is not always easy because there are many variables which vary from day to day.....i prefer the liquid test as it seems to be more accurate and easier to read than a blurry paper strip.

I have very hard well water. I usually mix about 1/2 of my water with 1/2 RO water. Sometimes the hardness in the tank gets too high. This product works to test and lower hardness without adding lots of RO water. If your water is very hard like mine you would need to add pretty high amounts before you see results unless you mix distilled or RO water to get you close to the desired range.
