Programs: Our mission has evolved since establishment. In the beginning, our organization consisted of few feathered friends with the primary goal of finding them loving forever homes. Within a short time it became apparent the need of forever homes was overwhelming. Parrots were coming to us with evidence of neglect and abuse. Calls were coming in from agencies that were not prepared, nor willing, to care for these animals. Finding forever homes was no longer the highest priority. For us, it still isn't. Too many questions arose over the process. Why so many? Why so many neglected and abused? The sick. The thrown away. How can this happen? While seeking answers to these questions, our mission became clear: education on behavior and care has become among our highest priority. The need or desire to re-home is often due to lack of patience and knowledge to understand the needs of your companion.
