I'm writing this review only for the sole purpose of my installation experience. I have put together many furnitures, outdoor appliances, kitchen ware, etc. in my days and I have to be honest with you folks. The instruction manual that came with this unit, has to be one of the worst manuals I've followed. While I was trying to follow this manual, it made me think I received the wrong manual for this Patio Heater. I found myself cursing at this manual and even checked to make sure the manual matched my model #. I had to stop, get a cold beer and think about a few steps that needs assembly as the instructions didn't help in detail. Plus, the fricken entire bottom unit corners was covered in plastic which I thought was Ok, but drove me to further drinking as I found myself removing each screw just to remove all the fricken plastic. 12 pack later, it was finally assembled and burnt the instructions. The end result was nothing less than satisfaction and in awe of the flames and warmth it provided. But, that darn instructions will lead you to a cold drink or more.

I was at a restaurant with an outdoor eating area that was surrounded by these heaters.... the look was awesome. I have seen them in catalogs for over a thousand dollars.. this one has the exact same look for lots less... although it is lighter than the commercial grade ones. Easy to put together ...impressive to watch ... throws off good, but not overwhelming, heat. Looking to get another soon.

This item was not hard to put together it . The Heater is delicate with the glass tubing but it is easy to move around with gas tank hooked up . Heater gives off sufficient heat not recommended on windy days.

Reading the other reviews I am not sure what people are expecting for $230 when the commercial heaters at stores are over $1000 but this heater went together very easy and looks great! I can't wait to use it when it gets a little cooler out. I do agree with most comments that this heater isn't going to heat a deck by any means but that is to be expected since it is only 40,000 BTU's! But if you are looking for a feature piece on your deck or outdoor area this is a heck of a deal!

I just love these so much we purchased a total of 6 of them for a wedding this September, I was impressed at how much heat it actually throws off.. Easy to move around since they are on wheels,They were very easy to assemble too.. Make sure you purchase the covers for them. It really protects them and they are a beautiful tan color...I searched the web and this place was by far the most reasonable...

best used in warmer climate areas where it becomes a bit chilly at night. I'll have to say putting this thing together was a pain for one reason, i had to take apart the whole base to properly remove the protective plastic. Really annoying. Otherwise it was quite easy to just follow the instructions. bought from costo for 200 +tax

I have read many reviews on this product and will first say that the assembly is not as bad as many people wrote. There were a few places with some missing information but go slow and think through it. I did the first one by myself in less than 30 minutes and the second one took no time at all. The flame is very nice and after it heats up gives a nice warming feeling. My only complaint is that top could be larger and tilt down to push out more heat. Enjoy!

I saw these at the NFR Rodeo in Vegas. We had just purchased our second outdoor heater. I wish I had seen these first I would own three.

I built this on my own in about an hour. It's awesome to see in action. I only wish the flame column went more than halfway up the tube.

This heater looks great and is a nice change from the traditional mushroom heaters that are difficult to light. This unit has a very good ignition system and has a unique glass tube for the flame. The unit puts out 40,000 BTUs which is slightly lower than other units but the look of the unit is worth losing 5,000 BTUs.Assembly is moderately advanced. Many items need to be taken apart before assembly, the unit ships with all of the screws secured and almost every screw needs to be removed. After understanding this from experience I was able to assemble within 45 min, plus 15 min of cussing the directions. All in All I really love the unit.It is a conversation piece, puts out heat and works well.

We call it the Tower of Power. Sitting on the deck after dusk with this pillar of flame flickering nearby is great fun. It's ornamental and provides both a conversation piece and that intangible, primeval presence of fire. That's the upside. The downside is that as a heater it would be great if you circled your chairs around it, but beyond 6 feet or so there is little effect. Assembly, by the way, took several hours and a certain amount of profanity. Some of the diagrams are not kind to the casual assembler like me. The information is all there, but it is a bit too easy to miss a crucial detail, put the pieces in the wrong places, and have to disassemble.

Vendor is extremely considerate and helpful. Questions are promptly answered. We accidentally broke the glass tube and it was replaced... FREE! You will not regret having bought this product. The patio heater covers/warms a spacious area. Having the glass tube does not impede nor lessen the warmth it gives out. Surprisingly, it aestethically blends with the space it is put.Thank you very much!
