Mission: To put kindness, guidance, and support into practice with the use of music education, music creation, and performance that will help our youth to become caring, career minded, and community focused citizens who will impact their environment in a positive way.

Target demographics: provide a safe environment for youth to explore their creativity through music.

Direct beneficiaries per year: more than 1,700 youth

Geographic areas served: Under served communities throughout Louisville, KY

Programs: AMPED provides free access to education, instruments, technology and performance opportunities for Louisville's young minds to thrive through the power of music. Local musicians also hang out in the studio as volunteer mentors. AMPED students receive hands-on training of the music business through production, distribution and marketing. AMPED students are trained in the various skills such as guitar, drums, piano, audio production, video production, and more. The students are then given the opportunity to take the skills that they have learned and begin to be paid for teaching those skills to others in organizations outside of AMPED. The students are paired with an AMPED mentor in this process. This helps the student to become empowered and it gives them the tools to become independent and productive citizens that can play a significant role in charting their own path.
