This may be my favorite purchase this year. I coach a girl's 12u softball team. While I am a good coach, I am terrible trying to throw the ball in the air and hit it with a bat and put it where I want it to go. And even worse at trying to throw the balls up for pops. Accubat fixes those problems. It lets me hit great pop-ups to the girls and even great grounders as well. They key to using it for pop-ups is to think of hitting more like badminton rather than softball or tennis. I got the heavier one for use with softballs and after 6 weeks or so, it's shown no sign of wear. To me it's not really that heavy, but you do have to have strong wrists / good wrist control to keep it straight when you hit. This is a great product and is saving my arm and making practices more fun.

It really help my son with reading the ball off the bat. I get more reps in because i am not swinging and missing or hitting it on the ground. I highly recommend this product.

I haven't tried it so I can't rate it the way I would like to. My issue is the price. Seems overly priced. So I tried a racquet ball racquet and work just as well with support for every pop of course just like accubat sells replacement netting I found replacing the strings on the racquet not as hard. Don't mean to knock something I haven't tried its the price that stops me from buying this.

I am terrible at hitting with a softball bat with my daughter to practice fly-balls. This took a little learning, but I could place the balls high up and anywhere on the field. We use it at every practice and it seems to be holding up.

As advertised. Takes some getting used to (2 sessions) now hitting pop flies like a pro.

It took a little getting used to but once I got the hang of it it, worked great. I have a ten yearold grandson that I work with all the time so it made hitting pop up's a lot easier.

The Accubat works great after you get some practice with it. I use it mainly for outfield and infield practice.

It is a great instrument for assisting young children in learning baseball skills. I would recommend its use to anyone who is coaching young children wanting to play baseball.

This has saved my shoulder from falling off! Instead of throwing a zillion popups to my boys, I just launch them.

I got to work with my kids baseball and softball teams. It works for both, but took a little bit of time to get used to hitting with it.

I might look goofy out there to all the real baseball dads, but this works for me so I don't care. I am hitting pop ups in the 150-170 foot range. I can hit more accurate and high enough to help the kids learn better tracking skills on fly balls. I can hit line drives and grounders too. I takes a few times out to get the hang of it, but once you get going it is lots of fun.The Accubat is a little on the heavy side. I can't hit with a regular bat to the kids, so this is just what I needed.

Using for popup and line drive practice for my 8 year old son and my 10 and 12 year old daughters. Yes, you can hit grounders and popups with a bat, but this makes it very easy to produce consistent, repeatable hits. Its also worth mentioning again (as others have said) that this can be used by folks that aren't as skilled with a bat. Great purchase, highly recommend.

We have a 10u softball team and our Defensive Coach (Ron Wiliford) will not go back to a bat or fungo. He uses it for infield and outfield drills. Coach Ron has control of the ball when hitting grounders or pop flies. Now, it is a must that you review the instructions and it will take a full practice or two to master this tool, but stick with it. And if you do, you will love is a much as Coach Ron.
