This stuff is amazingly easy to work with. I applied it to MDF on a new speaker enclosure I was building for my garage. I needed something durable and immune to the bump and grind of coexisting with tools on shelves. First I tried rubberized coating but was very unhappy with it. I had to scrape it all off then find something better. Speaker building forums recommended this DuraTex and I couldn't be happier! It goes on very easily, and cleans up just as easy. It's very similar to thick latex paint. It dries with a very hard textured 34;shell34; that doesn't scratch, dent or chip easily. The coverage is quite good, and I was able to do two coats on small bookshelf speakers with about 30 of the bag. I have plenty left over for other projects.

This stuff is AWESOME. I built a new housing for my amplifier head out of 1/234; birch plywood. The edges were pretty rough because cheap plywood apparently does not take a router very well. I rolled on a nice, heavy coat of this stuff and it instantly looked like a 34;real34; amplifier. The small bag gave me more than enough to do multiple coats on the head, plus a light coat on my 2x12 speaker cabinet to freshen it up and make it match better, and I still have about half of it left. (I sealed it in a plastic container, which is in a gallon-size ziploc bag, so hopefully it will stay fresh for a long time?) I like this so much because it is so easy to apply, so easy to clean up (if you catch it BEFORE it dries), looks so good, and it really covers well. I applied it right over the bare wood and it covered great. I also used it to paint some screw heads because it is so durable. I kind of wished I'd sprung for a quart because I can think of plenty of uses other than amplifier coverings - it dries quickly and sticks to anything but seems to stay ever-so-slightly flexible. I can imagine some automotive uses, and for some of my tools. The ONLY possible drawback I can even imagine is that it would be nearly impossible to get a smooth finish with this stuff, but that is not what it is made for! With the included roller it gave a great texture, and with a smoother roller it can do a lightly dimpled surface, but it is NOT traditional paint. Brushing it leaves brush marks, probably because it dries so quickly. It is also dead flat, not 34;satin34; or 34;semi-flat34; so if you want any gloss at all you'll have to coat it with some sort of clear, or a thin coat of ordinary paint. I bought this item on an...auction site I shall not name. Same supplier, slightly lower price.
