Great books. High peaks book was my first and this the second. It helps to give you some extra idea of what's ahead or where to park..yada yada but it also is free to describe things in a way that sells you the trip. Some "very nice" bridges are really just bridges..and "lovely" springs are holes in the ground. Love the Adirondacks this is not a put down. Just beware they are selling you something here lol
