I bought this to protect a surgical wound on my dog's abdomen. It was easy enough to put on her at night, but by morning she had slipped out of it. I'm not using it as intended, so don't take this review too seriously. She has also slipped out of everything else I've tried, including a one-piece body suit. Don't ask, I have no idea how.

I broke 4 ribs in my back. This brace helped stabilize things especially in my first week out of the hospital. Much better than others.

Husband needs this for a rib out of place while building retaining walls. He says they work great. I can machine wash them, but after about 10 uses, we toss them because they just don't stay clean. He is in construction

It's been a godsend. I can actually walk/ move without having to hold my ribs.

I fell on a solid oak coffee table, hitting my left ribs. I was in soooo much pain. Someone finally suggested a rib belt. Oh, how I wish I'd thought of it 4 wks before. It made all the difference. I highly suggest using this.

I was having persistent moderate discomfort after chest wall injury (probably not a fracture), especially reclining at night, difficulty getting to sleep . I think NSAIDS would have worked OK, but I can't take them anymore: athletic tape did not help, and I was skeptical this would do much, but needed to try something. Surprisingly, I got a lot of relief using it at night over about a week (think that it worked by stabilizing - ie, “splinting) the chest wall. I'm well aware that you need to use something like this carefully as it can prevent you from full expiration, especially if you have a concurrent respiratory infection, COPD, etc.. - but for limited use this worked very nicely for me.

I purchased the female version of this brace, and while it is very good, and for a lot of females with sore or fractured ribs, it would be great. However, the rib I cracked is way up high and I wish I had purchased the male version or the unisex version just because I need to bind over the breast area. The cut out in the front for females is great though if my rib was not so high up. I would certainly recommend this, and would buy one again if need be.

Made a massive difference getting me back running and in the gym after I broke 2 ribs. Wish it came in black however as white gets dirty fast.
