Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Human Services

Mission: African community senior services (acss) was created to reduce and remove these barriers by connecting african seniors to community resources needed to address their social and health care needs and educating them about issues that directly impact them, thereby reducing their social isolation, enabling them to remain in their homes and in the community, and improving their overall health and well-being. By connecting clients to vital community resources and services, acss is improving the quality of life for low-income african seniors and creating or supporting links between individuals and communities through services, education, and collaboration. Acss also conducts education and outreach within our community in order to reach and connect with an increased number of low-income senior east african immigrants and refugees who may benefit from our services.

Programs: Community services related to health care, and wealth creation, integration and immigrant help are some of the services accomplished this year by acss
