Mission: The mission and purpose of Air Compassion for Veterans (ACV) is to ensure that no financially stressed wounded warrior or their adversely affected family member(s) is denied access to distant specialized medical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, counseling or rehabilitation for lack of financial means for long-distance medical air transportation. ACV is committed to the ongoing healing process of our wounded warriors and will provide transport for activities that aid in the process.
Results: Over 14,000 flights have been provided for wounded warriors and their adversely affected family members in the past 40 months.
Target demographics: Wounded warriors and their adversely affected family members needing transportation for medical, counseling and rehabilitation services.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 5,000
Geographic areas served: Nationwide
Programs: Air compassion for veterans provides no-cost, long-distance medical air transportation for financially needy veterans and/or family patients requiring access to distant, specialized, medical evaluation, diagnosis (see schedule o)
