Mission: The Alabama Wildlife Center is Alabama's oldest and largest wildlife rehabilitation facility and annually receives almost 1,600 birds from over 100 different species. AWC is a nonprofit organization whose dual mission is to provide medical and rehabilitative care for Alabama's injured and orphaned native birds in order to permit their return to the wild, and to educate people in order to heighten awareness, appreciation and conservation of Alabama's native wildlife. The Alabama Wildlife Center's primary services are wild bird rehabilitation, clinical care for sick or injured birds, a wildlife help line for public assistance, and a variety of educational programs.

Programs: Provides medical care, food and housing to injured and orphaned native birds brought to AWC for care. Offers educational programs and events for all ages about wild birds, their protection and conservation, and their habitat.
