I bought my husband one of these for backpacking because it is lightweight and small. It worked so well on his trip I bought 2 more for when we go tent camping. I got rid of every other lantern we have. These are small, very bright, lightweight and easily packable.

I'm using these lamps in my craft booth for after dark. Because they are lightweight I can hang them within my tent easily. And they give off quite a bit of light for their small size.

When out in the dark woods the light is bright in its own zone but not extended brightness over for small zones I recommend

I have purchased four of these and they have been absolutely great. Excellent lanterns for the price. I've used them as emergency lights when the power went out, camping, and even under the car hood while working on various things.

Excellent for power outages. Our power went out for 4 hours and these lamps came in handy. Our 8 and 10 year loved them some much the stayed in their room doing the power outage
