Mission: The alaska museum of science and nature is dedicated to the education and exploration of our scientific and natural world.
Programs: Permanent location for natural history collections and education programs. Collect, conserve, research, interpret, and exhibit items related to the geology, biology, archeology, paleontology, ecology, and cultural history. Population area approximately 300,000 people plus visitors. Programs for title i low-income students, preschoolers, after school programs, cooperative programs with local schools and science teachers. Hands-on experimental learning opportunities.
