AliMed® Drop Seat fits almost any chair! Sturdy plastic drop seat attaches with strong webbing that independently adjusts in the front and the rear. Lowers seat up to 3". Use as a level seat or incline it for a wedge effect. Add a specially configured 2" thick AliMed® Polyfoam or T-Foam™ Combo Cushion (1" high-density foam topped with 1" Medium T-Foam) that clears the crossbars. Sewn. Vinyl construction. Drop seat fits both 16" and 18"W x 16"D wheelchairs.
Drop seats create a flat, low-height wheelchair seatingsurface without having to makeadjustments to the wheelchair frame.By lowering the sitting surface, you canuse a higher-profile pressure-relievingcushion without sitting the patient toohigh in the chair, reducing fall risk. Dropseats allow user’s feet to reach thefloor or foot supports for safer transfers, independent wheelchair mobility, andimproved posture. Most drop seats can alsobe set at an incline (by adjusting rear strapslower than front straps), creating a wedgeeffect on a traditional flat cushion. Reclinedposition helps limit forward sliding, reducingfalls and skin breakdown.
