I'm not much of a mechanic, but I'm learning more here and there. My commuter car is an 06 prius with a check engine light that keeps coming on. Every time I had it read the shop said it was the same thing and that it's a sensor that's not hurting the car. The goal of this car is just to keep miles off the truck so I didn't want to pay to replace the sensor but also want to know if the light ever comes on for something else. This reads the code, verifys that it's still the same code that isn't hurting anything, and let's me clear it so the light can turn on again if it's anything new goes wrong. Has saved me a bunch of trips and money getting it read and iv already had friends borrow it and used it on my truck too

I used and found the code. It found P0301 Code: Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected codeI put ignition from cylinder 1 to 4 so after driving couple of mile when i had engine light it said Misfile on Cylinder 4 so i replaced igintion coils (changed all 4 iginition coils and error went away)During error my car when at red light did vibrated (meaning rpm up and down at stop)I also changed all spark plugs since they were not changed. No more errors. This tool worked for detecting the error code 301 for ford fusion 2010 and am sure it works for other cars which supports OBD II

I liked how it came with a Instruction Manual, has Vehicle Information, I/M Readiness, Live Data, Evan Leak test. Other Cheap Scanners have these options, but my last $20 scanner had the features listed, but either the cars weren't supported or the scanner didn't actually work with the features

I spent alot more money on supposedly higher quality equipment but this blew them out of the water. Easy to use easy to manipulate. Good to keep in toolbox. Just another tool.

saves you a lot of time and money very user friendly make you more aware to make better decisions I was able to diagnosis my vehicle once I research the code I repair it my self and save over $800 in labor

This is the 2nd one I bought to keep in other car. I now have one in each car in the truck bag with all the other emergency tools. Works well just like the other one. Very straight forward interface. No complaints.

2013 Dodge dart se check engine light came on and it said oil pressure sensor and it was totally right.

This is a compact easy to use unit. Very helpful to be able to see what codes your vehicle is showing. That way you know more about how serious the problem might be. We've used it several times on different vehicles.Very happy with it.
