I usually buy Hanes products but this shirt is terrible. After the first wash, the hem can out of it. Then the hem at the wrist came loose. I had to sew each hem (waist and both sleeves). The material holds stains even with stain remover and OxiClean. Will not buy again.

I've always had this issue with long sleeve shirts - my arms are short and I have a 39 chest. The sleeves on these are just about right but the shirt is tight under arms when reaching forward.

These are incredibly nice shirts, and I would have kept mine, but had to return them for size. The sleeves and underarms seem to run a bit small for me. But my biggest question relates to SPF protection listed in the ad.No where on, in or near the shirt, or any of its tags, is there any mention of SPF protection, even though it is stated in the ad. I found that peculiar. If I was a shirt manufacturer, and claimed sun protection for my wares, I think I would let everyone know what it is that I have to offer. With no confirmation anywhere on the shirt, I felt it best to return them.If sun protection is not an issue for you, you'll find this to be a wonderful addition to your wardrobe.

Works as billed but fits a little tight in the chest and I'm not a big guy.

We bought these for sun protection. Had a nasty reaction to the sun earlier this year. He likes them, said that they helped keep him cool while mowing.The sleeve on one of the shirts had stitching that had missed the fabric, but since he bought them as work shirts, we didn't send them back.

Excellent shirt, did its job, nice fit, hem did come apart after wash, but easy fix no complaints here...

Fits great keeps you cool in the hot sun.

I use this shirt for whenever I'm going to be in straight sunlight for 4 hours. The shirt is light and surprisingly cool. I feel like it really does take the brunt of what the sun dishes out. The fit could be slightly better, increased length being the main complaint. I left it at 4 stars just because if it was “perfect” it would be a bit longer in my opinion. But it's still a great shirt, I highly recommend!

Title says it all, just slightly snug for size. 1 up for a looser fit or your size for snugger fit.Quality, price and doing it's job, all great.

I wear them everyday and even in the hotest days keep me cool. Keep me from getting sunburned. I will purchase again.

I have Solar Urticaria, I'm allergic to UVA and UVB. I put this shirt (XL Orange) on yesterday and could only stand in the sunlight coming through a window (so only UVA) for 45 seconds before I started getting that acid burning my skin feeling as the hives appeared and my throat started to swell closed... Without a shirt, in direct sunlight, it also takes 45 seconds for this to happen. This shirt provides little-to-no protection against UVA, which comes through glass, ages your skin, and gives you cancer. While it MAY delay sunburn (UVB) for YOU, it is just as good as wearing nothing for UVA.Other commenters (shills) mentioned that UPF 50 shirts should allow light through, that holding a UPF 50 cloth up to your eye could still allow you to see around you, and that UPF 50 cloth is the same as SPF 50 sunscreen. They are incorrect on all points.UPF 50 should block OVER 98 of all UVA and UVB light. You shouldn't really be able to tell you're looking directly at the sun through a single layer of real unstretched UPF 50 cloth but I could see your face through this shirt in normal room lighting... UPF is rated against UVA and UVB while SPF is just for UVB (even most broad spectrum sunscreens' ratings are just for UVB, they still let a ton of UVA light through).It seems like a decent regular shirt for the price but don't think you're protecting anyone, like you kids, spouse, or self, with it. The actual Hanes packaging doesn't say anything about UPF, it seems like the seller is just lying for sales.

Great shirt for blocking sun while working in the yard. My husband says it fits great, not too tight or too loose. Nice and lightweight fit.
