Bought it and went straight up to the mountain with it. Fits well and comfortable with a pair of long johns underneath. I'm still learning so I fell many times but I was protected throughout my whole day. Highly recommend!

This is a great product overall; however, don't buy this one for skiing. The foam inside is not that soft and thick. This is more suitable for paintball games instead of skiing. When you wear this fall on the ice, it hurts almost the same as you fall on solid ground. My friend wore this for paintball, he said it is not that hurt wearing this inside when those areas are shot. Moreover, wearing this light protection is actually very comfortable since it stretches a lot.

Wore this under my pants for snowboarding. I don't have to be scared of falling. My tailbone was very well protected. The fabric stretches well and not uncomfortable, but it is a tiny bit bulky because of the size of the foam, but that is what protects you when you fall so no complaints there. The sides are also very well protected. Over all if you're planning on doing any sports that you might want a bit of protection, I suggest this one. I can't wait to use it for rollerskatingThere is a hole inside for each foam so you can take the foam out from there if you need to wash the shorts.

I am 5'3 about 201 and they fit me pretty well. I use them biweekly as I am taking skating classes. I wash mine in the washer after each use. Additionally, I have a large bum and hips which make the shorts stretch more. Overall, I saw even though they developed a small tear in the back, it has been holding up.

They are very lite weight. Comfortable under sport shorts. Use for pickleball.

I bought these shorts for my 17 year old great-niece. I bought her a pair a couple years ago when she took up skate boarding and she loved them. Said they were comfortable, didn't even feel them under her clothes and worked great cushioning her hips and butt when she fell. She misplaced them so bought another pair for upcoming trip to Colorado to learn snowboarding. Based on her comments, I would highly recommend these padded shorts for protection from falls.

The wife and I decided to take up rollerskating/blading. She had never done it before and is known to be a bit vertically challenged.I strongly suggested she wear them despite how it made her look. She did the first few times and never fell!On her 4th time going out to skate, she decided she was over the shorts.She fell on her butt and decided she was done skating for a while.That was a while ago. If she ever picks up those skates again, them shorts are back in action I bet.If you don't like pain, wear these. That tailbone is no joke!

These have zero breathability under the foam pieces. The comfort is fine, seem to protect the parts I want protected.

My spouse had a major ski injury and needs some help getting back to it this coming season. These shorts feel pretty good and I believe they may give him some extra protection and help him be more confident. The odd part was finding the holes on the inside of each pad. I thought it was a defect and was going to send them back for a replacement, but then noticed there were holes over each pad. In the questions section there is an answer to someone asking about them and it says that the holes are for putting the pads in and removing them. That makes sense except the holes are not finished at all which makes it look like they could be a problem in the future. Once he uses them a few times we’ll see if he wants the pads as they are, and I may try to reinforce the material or cover the holes. It would have been nice to know about the holes to begin with.As far as size goes he is 6 ft tall and weighs 185 pounds and we got a large. They fit him well, not tight, they’ll go over his long underwear and under ski pants.

It offers great protection, but at the cost of quite a bit of comfort. If you are learning and concerned about injury/pain, I would highly recommend it, but it does make moving freely quite a bit more difficult, especially if you don't have a lot of wiggle room in your snow pants.

Best thing you can remove pads if you feel tight and keep ony those you really need.

Nice boxer shorts, I like the padding, but they get really really hot in there. Can't use them for gym or anything like that because you will over heat in them.

I'm a woman and bought these for skating. Maybe it's because it's sized for men, but the padding on the hips/butt isn't where it needs to be to cushion a fall. There's plenty of padding on the thighs and some on the tailbone area. But there's no padding on the widest part of my hips. If I fell on my side or back, the part of my hips that would hit the ground and take the most impact doesn't have padding.The fit is good and the material is lightweight, breathable, and stretchy.I returned this product because I don't feel that it would be helpful in minimizing fall damage for me. If the padding was a better fit for my body shape, I would definitely keep it because the fabric quality seemed great.
