Causes: Crime & Law, Rehabilitation Services for Offenders

Mission: Dedicated to changing the lives of women affected by abuse, addiction, and incarceration.

Results: Alpha House opened in December 2008 and served 71 women. Lack of funding sources resulted in AH closing its doors to residential services in November 2014.The AH BOD continued the mission, in part, my continuing to serve women in the local jails and offering recovery support services. AH desires to re-open a faith-based transitional home in the future and is pressing on toward that goal.

Target demographics: Post incarcerated women

Geographic areas served: Tennessee

Programs: God Beyond the Bars program-Jail Ministry in Anderson, Morgan, and Roane Counties. Currently offering recovery resources, such as: clothing, transportation, fees for faith-based recovery home placement, visits, and letters.
