Programs: We reach out to newly diagnosed children and their families. First by gifting a comfycozy shirt, specifically designed to provide access to the childs port for chemo treatments, assuring the child stays clothed and warm. At that time, they also receive a backpack of items including blankets, socks, toys, and games to make their hospital stay more comfortable . Our comfycozys were delivered to 45 hospitals bringing our total hospitals served to 126 - 1,000 pediatric cancer patients received a free comfycozy and care package, improving the quality of their treatment experience. In addition, we work with families teaching them that they have a voice and a choice above the harsh protocols present in the healthcare system as well as teaching skills to cope with the daily life of a family battling cancer. When necessary, we provide groceries, meals, gas cards and pay utility bills. Last year distributed 1,600 hospital cafeteria cards, without which they would not have eaten, 609 gift cards for food, gas, and other necessities, and supported 150 families by paying utility bills. We also provide free counseling by licensed therapists by tele health and in person.
