Mission: The purpose of the American Friends of the Israel Museum is to foster and encourage the development of liberal arts by obtaining works of art and archaeology for the Israel Museum and by obtaining and making grants and contributions to the Israel Museum. Founded in 1965, the Israel Museum is the largest cultural institution in the State of Israel and is ranked among the leading art and archaeology museums in the world.
