Mission: The American Lung Association is the leading organization working to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease, through research, education and advocacy. The work of the American Lung Association is focused on four strategic imperatives: Defeat lung cancer; Champion clean air for all; Improve the quality of life for those with lung disease and their families; and create a tobacco-free future. The American Lung Association has many programs and initiatives to fight lung disease. Among these are: COVID-19 resources and toolkits, Freedom From Smoking, Asthma Basics, Better Breathers Network, Lung HelpLine, LUNG FORCE, Open Airways For Schools, the Healthy Air Campaign, the Airways Clinical Research Centers Network and other programs encompassing research, healthy air, tobacco control and cessation, public/professional education and lung health advocacy.  (Less)
