My daughter uses it for when she plays the piano. The metronome was a little difficult to understand how to use it but once we figured it out it worked great. The only down side is that it is a bit too loud when your using it along with the piano. Almost distracting when your trying to listen to the music.

She still can't count, but the metronome is excellent. Loud accurate sound to mark the beat and a consistent tempo is maintained. Her complaint? All it does is trump. My answer? It is supposed to! Yes, l keeping the metronome and firing the pianist.

I purchased this for two reasons. First, volume. I play saxophone and the volume of my Boss DB-60 doesn't quite cut it. Second, size. I kept on losing my DB-60. This is hard to miss........I read a number of reviews prior to purchase. It is a clockwork mechanism, and can be over wound. I timed the unit at 80 bpm, you get about 10-12 minutes on winding. Hope this helps

Does what it's meant to do. Does not have a volume control though so it's loud.. If that's a problem, then you might want to stay away...

This metronome helps keeping pace for playing music. We use it for piano. Helps the kids with keeping tempo correctly through the whole song. Easy to use.

I wind it up and let it go in the middle of the house when everyone goes to bed. Its loud enough to be heard in every room. Everyone sleeps better on weeknights when we use it. I don't use it for music, so I can't help you there.

Recently got a piano, the metronome was something I purchased to help everyone who is learning to play, play better. It helps you keep pause and songs go from a bunch of keys being pressed one at a time to wow it's an actual song! Works great and helps improve timing for hand eye coordination.

nice features, seems fairly well made, only thing is we wish it had a volume knob.. it is VERY loud to the point it distracts from focusing on playing the notes

I bought this for my kids and I music class they have clarinet, trombone, flute, piano. It is very loud and easy to use but the beat is off. It isn't click, click, click, click it's more like click, click, click, click, click. The rhythm is off a bit. It wasn't always like that. We've been using it for a couple of months and it's just getting worse.
