Checked the preload pressure with a bicycle gauge. Was correct as delivered. With another person, we took the old one off full of water. Not crazy heavy but mine was very accessible.

Boiler was blowing the relief valve and discovered the old expansion tank was waterlogged. Easy to swap out and now everything is working properly.

Water was leaking from the release valve of my boiler. Tech replaced the valve for $500 then wanted an additional $800 to change out the expansion tank. I was able to buy this bad boy and replace it myself. My house is toasty warm and I saved over $700.

I had a drippy relief valve and noticed the pressure at times higher than 25 psi plus a noisy heating systemdue to the air in the pipes. My old tank had lost its air cushion.Replaced the tank and valve, purged the zones and everything has been great.

My pressure relief valve was dumping water out of the boiler. I knocked on my old expansion tank and got a dull thud from top to bottom. Ordered this tank and a new relief valve and it solved my problem. Old tank bladder had ruptured and the tank was full of water. Took about an hour to drain the boiler, change tanks, refill and purge air. Amtrol is always a trusted brand and used by most plumbers here in New England. Totally satisfied with price, seller and quality.
