Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals

Mission: The mission of the animal adoption center is to save lives of homeless animals through rescue, adoption, education and spay/neuter services.

Programs: Founded in 2004, the animal adoption center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located in downtown jackson hole, wy. The aac rescues animals from kill shelters, abandonment, hoarding cases, overcrowded shelters, and cases of neglect. Programs include nightly fostering, dog walking, cat socializing, youth outreach, internships, and community education. Our highly visible location promotes excellent community interaction with our animals and programs.

millions of adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized in america each year due to overcrowding in shelters. In 2009, the aac began to attack the root of the pet overpopulation problem by launching our spay/neuter wyoming program. Our mobile spay/neuter program travels across wyoming holding low-cost clinics that make pet sterilization services available to those who would otherwise not be able to afford to fix their animals. In addition, the voucher program allows wyoming residents to apply for a low- cost spay/neuter voucher from participating veterinarians across the state. Since 2009, our spay/neuter program has fixed more than 8,800 animals.

the aac provides every animal with necessary veterinary care, spay or neuter them, and socialize them with other animals and people. Emergency medical services for orphaned and stray animals are also made available through our life saving programs.
