Mission: Aahs strives to ensure a lifetime of loving care for every pet by reducing overpopulation, increasing adoption, and fostering humane values.

Programs: Animal adoption program: provides overall animal care and veterinary care (examination, vaccination, spay/neuter, disease testing, micro-chipping, dental procedures) to animals until adopted. During 2017,1,297 homeless pets were placed with loving adopters. The programs and initiatives are supported by 311 active volunteers.

humane education program: the humane education program taught 6,599 young people and 8,135 adults about compassion and caring for animals in 2017.
