Mission: The Animal Defense League of Arizona, founded in 1997 from the merger of Tucson-based Voices for Animals and Phoenix-based Concerned Arizonans for the Animal Rights and Ethics, grew out of the need for a unified voice to work toward greater protection of animals in Arizona. ADLA works as a network of animal protection activists and advocates. Mission Statement: "To protect and defend Arizona''s animals. "

Geographic areas served: Arizona

Programs: the Spay Neuter Hotline and Trap Neuter Return Program for feral and free-roaming cats. ADLA is a statewide leader in spaying and neutering companion animals and feral cats. It TNR's between 10,000 - 15,000 cats per year in Maricopa County and makes statewide referrals to low cost and no cost spay neuter services.
