Mission: The Animal Rescue Assistance Team Tennessee’s mission is to facilitate the rescue and adoption of animals from animal control facilities, and to prevent animals from entering animal control facilities in lower Middle Tennessee, and assist and educate any individual, group or entity who is working on the pet overpopulation issue in Tennessee. We are a 501(c)3 non profit charitable organization.

Target demographics: needy dogs/puppies and cats/kittens

Direct beneficiaries per year: all 343 dogs that passed through the shelter except those that were "returned to owner", adopted from the shelter or the two that were deemed aggressive and were euthanized.

Geographic areas served: Marshall County

Programs: owner surrender assistance. We also try to help people keep their animals by whatever means possible. A. R. A. T. T. seeks rescue organizations for stray dogs or puppies in in the community and/or our local Animal Shelter, pulls dogs from the shelter, gets them vetted as necessary and transports them to safety.
