Mission: The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra is passionately committed to enriching the culture of the region. We foster a growing appreciation for orchestral music and regional musicians through imaginative programming and community involvement, inspiring and education a diverse audience. It was founded as a community orchestra in 1928 by five musically-inclined members of the local Methodist Church, and has since grown to become a main player in Ann Arbor art and culture. We strive to bring the best possible musical performances to our community with the greatest degree of artistic excellence, emphasizing both core repertoire and new works. (Less)
