I live out in the sticks and needed to amp up my game since DirectTV dropped MeTV from its lineup. I was using the ClearStream 2V and needed some extra juice to get the Atlanta MeTV station. This antenna did the trick and I'm a happy camper. If you compare the UHF gains between antennas, you'll find this near the front of the pack. The VHF gain isn't the best on this antennas, however most channels are on UHF.

Moving to a new home, the wife and I needed a new TV antenna. This one picks up all of the locals (both VHF and UHF) and some of the more distant (80 miles) stations (ATSC1 and ATSC3) mounted outside at 14 feet. Of course, your mileage may vary, due to local terrain and buildings.Assembly was easy, and I like the design and compactness. We were even able to get all of the locals (all UHF and most of the VHF) when testing sitting on the floor inside by the TV.

We cut the cable several weeks back, but we believed we could do better with the OTA signals. Our problem is that we had broadcast towers in all directions. We needed an antenna that would pick up signals from many directions. This ClearStream 4V antenna did the trick. It not only rescued us from having to pick which major stations we could do without, it found another dozen stations ... and even the obscure, low-power ones are pretty good. And all this sitting comfortably in the attic, where we don't have to worry about West Texas weather.

First I tried an amplified indoor antenna rated with a 50 mile range. The 4 major network towers were the same direction (use free Antenna Point app) from 22 to 41 miles away. Signals weren't strong enough to lock in consistently. Amplifiers are for splitting a good signal to multiple TVs. If you have a weak signal it amplifies the noise and isn't any help. So I tried this one with a 70 mile range rating without an amplifier in my attic. I get all 4 major networks and many more but the Fox network occasionally pixelates and freezes (tower is 39 miles away). If I mounted it outside it would probable do better but I didn't want to drill into my new roof. So my recommendation is to use the app to find out how far away the towers are you're trying to get, double the distance of the farthest one and try to find an unamplified antenna with that range or better. If the towers aren't all from the same direction you may have to go old school and get a rotator to aim it.

I assembled this tonight and was surprised at how sturdy it is compared to those aluminum UHF/VHF antennas. I have both styles and am comparing them together and the aluminum Yagi , in the same location, will not pull in ANY channels. This antenna is amazing at first installation. I am waiting for my 100ft coax to mount this antenna outside at 15' elevation instead of laying in a chair at 5' elevation (inside the house)

Well, I'm impressed. I rarely write reviews. However, in this case I have tried at least 4 other antennas with lousy results. Could only receive 4 ETV channels. The local stations are 50 miles in each direction from our home. We live way out in the woods in a low spot. I mounted this antenna on a tree about 7 feet off the ground not expecting much. Amazingly, with this simple installation we now receive 57 channels in HD. I received this just in time to watch the Masters this weekend!!

Should have bought this antenna long time ago. Better than the Clearstream 2V which is a very good antenna. This antenna is truly multi-directional. I live in Gulfport Mississippi and I'm getting between 45 and 60 channels with an RCA amplifier. Got 79 channels one night.

The antenna is able to go receive all of the DTV channels in our area. The towers are located approximately 40 miles SE, a few miles NE, and 40 miles NW of our home. It is a great antenna.
