Mission: To promote health and recovery for those who live with substance use disorders and/or mental illness.

Programs: The apt foundation provides treatment to individuals with substance use and mental health disorders with an emphasis on traditionally underserved populations. The foundation offers treatment programs for adults that address the full range of substances of abuse including opiates, cocaine, alcohol and multiple addictions. Partially funded by the connecticut department of mental health and addiction services, the apt foundation is committed to rapid access to treatment, as well as the utilization of strategies that engage and retain people in recovery.

the apt foundation, working in collaboration with the connecticut mental health center and the yale school of medicine, has earned a reputation for excellence in addiction research as well as treatment. Through research programs supported by state and national agencies, such as the national institute on drug abuse (nida), the apt foundation is at the forefront of addiction recovery by designing treatment programs based on research outcomes.
